My daughter has been afraid of the water out of no where and had no confidence wouldn't swim without a life jacket until she went to camp at Northstar Aquatics... she has been swimming a few times since camp ended and she's a completely different child in the water... She doesn't want or need her jacket she's actually swimming and happy to... she has no nervousness like she used to and is so proud of herself... For a mother who has been in the pool swimming since mom and tots, then I swam competitively, was a lifeguard, and then 22 years so far in the pool industry it's almost essential my child have the ability to swim. Would be weird if she didn't... so great job to you and your staff.

We are very impressed with the Aquatics Program. Our son just completed his first set of private lessons. When we started, our son was afraid of the water. Every week we saw improvement and within 5 weeks he was jumping in and swimming the length of the pool in a PFD. Most importantly, he absolutely loved it. We particularly enjoy watching the lesson on the TV in the next room. We've just signed up for our next round of lessons!

[I had] an excellent experience with Kayla as my instructor back in the spring. She was very attentive, had multiple approaches to help me learn different skills (eg floating, getting more comfortable in the deep end, mastering front crawl, etc) and often provided words of encouragement like a coach/mentor. Her formal training as an educator was truly evident in the calibre of her instruction.

Also, I really enjoyed having my lessons with another student, it provided me with a healthy level of competition which has been very motivating. :)
