I hold a B.A. in Political Science from York University, a Lower Elementary Montessori Diploma from The Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute and an Early Childhood Montessori Diploma from The Toronto Montessori Institute. I was a Casa teacher at another Montessori school in Mississauga before pursuing a Lower Elementary Diploma.
Prior to my Montessori career, I worked in the Legal field for a number of years, within Canada and also overseas. I lived and worked in the Cayman Islands and Dubai. This gave me the opportunity to travel to many countries and experience many different cultures.
I am excited to join Northstar Montessori Private School as a Lower Elementary Teacher. While studying for my Lower Elementary Diploma, I worked at Northstar as a Supply Teacher. I also had the privilege of completing my placement at Northstar in one of the Lower Elementary classrooms. Guiding children brings me so much joy and I look forward to working with the children at Northstar.

The wealth of experience teaching young children in a global perspective and the authentic inspiration of Dr. Maria Montessori have led me to a deeper commitment in providing an outstanding Montessori Education to our young learners. My academic qualification includes a diploma in the lower elementary education at the North American Montessori Training Center in British Columbia, Early Childhood courses offered via Seattle University and a continuing education in the lower and upper elementary program at the Toronto Montessori Institute.
I am a happy mother of four, two girls and two boys. Spending quality time with my family has made me enjoy life to the fullest as we strongly support each other at all times. My older girls work hard in their university studies while my two boys are enjoying their academic life in high school.
I am extremely delighted to share "the big part of me" to all our students and teachers alike here at Northstar Montessori School. I carry with me the treasures in "discovering the child" and the genuine love for children that would help them maximise their fullest potential as they grow and develop at their own pace. As a Montessori teacher, I firmly believe that giving out the best of one's self to help the child is one great strength that has kept me going. I find it truly rewarding when I see the joy of learning through the children's eyes, and the comfort of achieving their goals as they work hard each day. I feel honoured to be a part of this wonderful school. Lastly, I would like to thank the Northstar Community for giving me this great opportunity to share my gifts and skills to our young learners and I look forward to a fantastic year!

I graduated from McMaster University, obtaining a B.A degree in sociology, and a Mohawk College certificate specializing in applied behaviour analysis. After graduating, I decided to enroll in Montessori Teachers College, successfully completing the lower elementary diploma program. I have worked as an inclusion instructor for children, teens, and adults with exceptionalities for more than 5 years. This has provided me with substantial experience supporting individuals with diverse needs. Assisting individuals with exceptionalities has equipped me with behaviour management strategies, as well as essential attributes to teaching, such as empathy, patience, and adaptability. Working in this role has further prepared me as a Montessori teacher, as I align with and deeply value the philosophies of Dr. Maria Montessori. I am ecstatic to continue my vocational journey here at Northstar as an educator who is welcoming, inspiring, and a core contributor to the healthy development of all my students.

I graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours BSc. in Environmental Sciences. For many years, I worked in the environmental sector before entering the field of Montessori. I am proud to say I have attained a Lower and Upper Elementary teaching diploma from The Toronto Montessori Institute (TMI) and I believe it is a great achievement in my life. Being the proud mother of a Iittle girl, I value the importance of instilling respect and good morals to the children around me, along with building a solid academic foundation for them. I am very passionate about teaching our young children valuable skills that will enable them to prosper and achieve success in life. By following the teaching philosophy and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori, I am certain these lifelong goals can be met. I am excited to be a part of the Northstar team, as they have given me the opportunity to work with a committed staff who equally enjoy working with children as much as I do. Here's to an outstanding year ahead of us!
