Reading is an essential life skill and at Northstar Montessori we strive to not only develop this skill, but to also develop the "love of reading" within our students. Reading creates an understanding between people and cultures, allows for escapism and most importantly helps us to distinguish facts from fiction. This month and moving forward we would like to invite staff, students and parents to share a summary about any book they have recently been reading. Our goal is to open up the world of books and to encourage reading of materials that perhaps were never considered.

All entries for the Book Corner can be submitted to Mrs. Gosal by the 3rd Monday of the month so that we can include the entry in the following month's newsletter. Please include the title, the name of the author, the age group the book is appropriate for and a brief summary. Happy Reading!
