    Helma Trass and Toronto Montessori Schools - 1961

    TMS School (originally Toronto Montessori Schools) was founded in 1961 by Mrs. Helma Trass with an initial enrolment of 12 students.

    In 1961, Toronto Montessori Schools was incorporated as a non-denominational, non-profit, educational organization.

    TMS moved in 1964 to Richmond Hill and opened the Bayview Campus with two Children’s House classes and one Lower Elementary class. Mr. William Davis, the Minister of Education, officially opened the Richmond Hill Campus.... READ MORE...
